Cairdeas Meeting Notes – December 1st

Cairdeas held a meeting last night and would like to thank everyone who attended. Below are a few points discussed at the meeting:

  • We are still receiving Halloween Sponsor forms and contributions. Many thanks!  If anybody has any further sponsorship money, please return as soon as possible so we can finalise this fund raiser.
  • The Christmas concert is on next Friday, the 9th at 6:30 in Upton Hall.  Children to be dropped to the hall no earlier than 5:50 (when doors will open).
  • Be sure to bring drinks and snacks to the concert as there won’t be a shop this year.
  • Help is required to set up and decorate the hall on Thursday evening between 6:30 and 7:30 in preparation for the concert, please bring a sweeping brush.
  • Concert admission is €5 per adult, children are free.
  • The school calendars will be available on the night of the concert, priced at €10.
  • Raffle tickets will also be available on the night at €2 each or 3 for €5.
  • If anyone would like to donate a spot prize for the raffle, please drop it to the school or bring it on the night – it will be much appreciated!
  • Our parents’ night out is still as planned on the 10th of December at the Crossroads Bar from 8:30 until late.  All welcome!
  • We would like to remind everybody about our Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Crumlin Children’s Hospital on the 22nd of December. We ask for a donation of €2 per child for this worthy cause.
  • We are looking forward to a special visit from Santa to see all the children at the school on December 22nd.
  • As the numbers in our school increased, so did the cars in our car park.  Please take extra care when collecting/dropping off to school.  Drive slowly and be on the lookout for kids dashing over the road or popping up behind a car.  Also remind your child to always keep his/her safety belt on in the bus.
Please note that you can contact the Cairdeas committee at any time by completing the Cairdeas contact form on the website (http://knockavillaschool.com/cairde…). We love to hear feedback and ideas from our parents.
